Sclerotherapy

Injection treatment to eliminate spider and varicose veins

What is it?

Sclerotherapy is a well-established procedure where a chemical solution (sclerosant) is injected directly into varicose or spider veins, causing them to scar and eventually close. Blood is then redirected to healthier veins.

Sclerotherapy

Why is it done?

Treatment for spider veins, small varicose veins, and chronic venous insufficiency symptoms. Also used after endovenous ablation for residual veins.

How is it performed?

The sclerosant (liquid or foam) is injected with a tiny needle directly into the target vein. Ultrasound guidance is used for deeper veins. Multiple veins can be treated in one session.
